Here's a look at the formal introduction of Masahiro Tanaka to the U.S. and to baseball.
Earlier this offseason, coveted Japanese right-hander Masahiro Tanaka of course inked a seven-year, $155-million contract with the Yankees with an opt-out after four seasons. That, of course, is on top of the Yankees' paying the $20-million posting fee to Tanaka's old team, the Rakuten Golden Eagles.
On Tuesday, Tanaka, after making his way to the States on a $195,000 charter flight, was formally introduced to the press as a member of the Yankees. Here's a look:
