This weekend, Red Sox icon David Ortiz is playing his final regular-season series at Fenway Park. Boston has already clinched the AL East title, so he will play at home in the postseason, but this is it for the regular season.

The BoSox are using this weekend to celebrate Big Papi -- they've mowed his likeness into the outfield grass -- and I'm sure they have plenty of great stuff planned for the regular-season finale Sunday. As for Friday, it was Ortiz's time to give the people what they want, and that was a classic clutch home run.

To the action footage:

Ortiz's two-run blast gave the BoSox a 5-3 lead in the seventh inning. Mookie Betts tied the game with a single earlier in the inning. Blue Jays lefty Brett Cecil threw Big Papi a few too many curveballs that at-bat. Ortiz timed it perfectly and launched one into the seats near Pesky's Pole.

The home run ended up being the final difference in the game, as the Red Sox held on for a 5-3 victory, reducing the Blue Jays' wild-card lead over the Tigers to only a half-game.

In case you're wondering, Ortiz met the fan who caught the home run and was able to get back what might be his final Fenway Park home run ball. Check it out:

The game was still going on at 10:54 p.m. ET, the time stamp of the tweet, but hey, when you're a DH and you're Big Papi, you can step away from the game for a minute to meet a fan.

As you can hear in the video, the Fenway Park crowd went bonkers. Just wait until Ortiz starts doing that in the postseason next week.
