Mascots are largely untrustworthy individuals -- everyone, Mike Trout , knows that. Yet sometimes they do good for the world.
Take Albert the Alligator, the Florida Gators mascot who recently put his own snout on the line in order to protect a child from a foul ball during a game. Here's video evidence:
Ouch. Albert, for his part, seems to be in good spirits about the whole thing:
This doesn't mean you should trust mascots. Just that -- at times, anyway -- they're all right.
