WATCH, LISTEN: Conor Gillaspie confuses Hawk Harrelson with homer
Thanks to a funny bounce, White Sox broadcast Hawk Harrelson didn't know if he could launch into his trademark home run call on Thursday.
In the 12th inning of Thursday night's game, White Sox infielder Conor Gillaspie took Royals right-hander Luke Hochevar deep for a go-ahead solo home run. The ball ricocheted right back onto the field, leaving Hawk Harrelson rather confused about whether to go into his trademark home run call. Watch, listen, laugh:
I know Hawk's calls are not for everyone, but this was pretty funny. "You can put it ... no, safe. You can put it on the boooooard or what?"
