The Diamondbacks and Giants experienced an odd Saturday. Earlier, we pointed out Buster Posey's unusual return lob to Jake Peavy. Unbelievably, that might've been the game's third-weirdest event.

During the first inning, Paul Goldschmidt recorded a splash landing. No, not the home-run kind that lands in McCovey Cove. Rather, the foul-ball kind that crashes into a fan's tray and destroys more than $90 worth of product (per MLB.com, anyway):

Later on, Giants southpaw Javier Lopez fell victim to the ol' invisible trip-line prank. Lopez was headed out to the bullpen when, well, it's not clear what happened, but he wound up on the ground:

The Giants went on to win by a 4-2 score, but this is the rare game where those in attendance might remember multiple plays -- and none of them will have impacted the actual result.
