White Sox place Adam Eaton on DL with strained hamstring
The White Sox are down a man in the outfield, as center fielder Adam Eaton has hit the DL with right leg injury.
The White Sox on Saturday placed center fielder Adam Eaton on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained right hamstring. In related roster moves, the White Sox also transferred right-hander Nate Jones to the 60-day DL, recalled lefty Frank De Los Santos from Triple-A and claimed outfielder Moises Sierra off waivers from the Blue Jays.
As for Eaton, the 25-year-old is batting .276/.363/.378 (104 OPS+) in 25 games, in addition to providing plus defense in center. The Sox acquired Eaton over the offseason as part of a three-way blockbuster with the Angels and Diamondbacks.
