Yankees could finalize Ichiro deal soon
The Yankees are expected to re-sign Ichiro Suzuki, who hit .322 for them in 2012.
A couple other teams, believed to include the Phillies, are talking to Ichiro, but the international star has made it known he wants to be a Yankee. And they want him back.
Ichiro hit .322 for the Yankees, and don't discount that he has 2,606 hits, putting him within striking distance of becoming the first Japanese player to have 3,000 hits.
The Yankees also would like to acquire a righthanded-hitting outfielder.
