The Dodgers lost both outfielder Yasiel Puig and second baseman Dee Gordon to hip injuries on Saturday afternoon. The team says both players are day to day.

Puig left the game with a right hip flexor strain that was apparently suffered during this awkward slide (GIF via @mike_petriello):

Puig has dealt with several day to day injuries in his relatively short career, mostly due to crashing into fences and diving for balls, stuff like that. Injuries from playing so aggressively.

Gordon has discomfort in his right hip. It's unclear when exactly in the game he hurt himself. He has had shoulder and thumb injuries in the past, but nothing with his hip.

Coming into Saturday's game, Puig was hitting .336/.430/.593 with 11 home runs while Gordon was hitting .287/.336/.396 with 36 stolen bases.
