| Zobrist sputtering at plate: Tampa Bay second baseman Ben Zobrist had one hit in three at-bats during the Rays' 2-0 loss to Atlanta in an interleague contest on Sunday. Zobrist, who was also caught stealing second base in the fourth inning, halted a minor two-game hitless streak to boost his average to .217 this year. | Despite his lowly batting average -- which has not topped .300 through two months this season -- Zobrist continues to serve as a strong on-base threat. He is boasting a .362 on-base percentage thanks to 31 walks in 41 games, second most in the American League. He has currently gone three contests without drawing a walk, but should halt that stretch quickly. Consider him a solid Fantasy option in the majority of formats. (Updated 05/20/2012). |
