Twins reliever Tim Wood,  who is on the 15-day disabled list, was diagnosed with rotator cuff inflammation and biceps tendinitis, assistant general manager Rob Antony told MLB.com Sunday. Wood is expected to start another rehab assignment in 10 days. 

The MRI on Twins reliever Tim Wood's shoulder came back clean, according to MLB.com. He's headed back to Minnesota for a precautionary second opinion.

Wood was on a rehab assignment before it ended because of soreness in his shoulder.

Twins reliever Tim Wood had his rehab assignment rescinded Thursday after he came down with soreness in his shoulder. Wood has been on the disabled list since spring training due to a rotator cuff strain.

He will be re-evaluated at Triple-A Rochester, but he is not expected to be activated off the disabled list next week, as originally expected, according to the Star Tribune.
