| Wieters hits eighth home run: Baltimore catcher Matt Wieters connected on his eighth home run of the season on Sunday in a 9-8 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. Wieters went deep off James Shields in the sixth inning for a two-run shot with two outs. That made the score 7-4 at the time. Wieters finished 2 for 5 in the game as he added a double. | Wieters had gone 0 for 12 in his previous four games so it was great to see him connect on Sunday again. He's having a superb season with eight homers, 20 RBI and a .274 average.
