| Thompson outrighted to minors: Oakland relief pitcher Rich Thompson cleared waivers Friday and will be assigned to Triple-A Sacramento, the team announced. Thompson was designated for assignment by the Athletics earlier this week after being claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels. (Updated 04/27/2012) |
