| Blackburn nearing rehab stint : Twins manager Ron Gardenhire told MLB.com that pitcher Nick Blackburn could start a minor-league rehab assignment soon. Blackburn, on the 15-day disabled list due to a left quadriceps strain, is slated to throw a bullpen session on Sunday. "We're looking at Blackburn maybe going down to rehab to get a couple of starts," Gardenhire said. "Probably in Triple-A, but it depends on the best situation for him. But that's in the works. It hasn't been decided yet. We have to get him healthy." (Updated 05/25/2012) |
