| Spent Estrada DFA'd by Nationals: The Sports Xchange reports that Johnny Estrada was designated for assignment, only six days after coming off the disabled list. Estrada battled a right elbow injury all season and missed 69 games. (Updated 07/25/2008) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
| Estrada hit only .170 with four RBI but was surprised to be let go without getting more opportunity to play now that he's healthy. Washington has 10 days to either trade or release the veteran catcher, and Estrada suggested he would prefer to take the rest of the season off. "I'm spent," he said. "I'm ready to just go home, work hard in the offseason and see what happens next year." This doesn't sound like a player that has much to offer in the second half. (Updated 07/25/2008). |
