Todd gets call for Tribe: Jess Todd is over the shock of being traded and eager to be part of the Cleveland Indians' bullpen. Todd was officially called up from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday after right-hander Jose Veras was designated for assignment following the Indians' 10-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night. Todd, a 23-year-old right-hander, was acquired from St. Louis on July 26 as the player to be named in the June deal that sent veteran infielder Mark DeRosa to the Cardinals for right-hander Chris Perez. "I'm excited about the new opportunity and I've got a positive attitude," Todd said. "It's a case of somebody wanting you." Indians manager Eric Wedge said Todd will join Chris Perez as setup men for closer Kerry Wood.
