| Ynoa on road to recovery: Athletics pitching prospect Michael Ynoa, who is working his way back from Tommy John surgery in 2010, threw a bullpen session Monday and could pitch a game in the Dominican Instructional League in the weeks ahead, according to MLB.com. "He is free and easy with no problems," said director of player development Keith Lieppman. "So far, so good." (Updated 11/15/2011) |

| Ynoa signed with the A's as a 16-year-old phenom in 2008, but because of injuries, he has made only three minor-league appearances. He still has good stuff and plenty of time to make the most of it at age 20, but he's likely a couple years away from the majors. You can ignore him outside of long-term keeper leagues.
