  • LeCure learning the ropes of relief : Reds pitcher Sam LeCure is still adjusting to being a reliever for Cincinnati. LeCure, who was a starter his entire career, was converted to the bullpen last season. "In the bullpen, I realized I would get more chances to pitch. It was exciting," LeCure told MLB.com. "I took to it pretty good. It fit my mentality pretty well. It actually taught me a lot about pitching, how to be aggressive and things like that. They call somebody's name and the other five or six guys, you can see them take a deep breath. I think it's cool. Your heart rate gets going immediately, it's awesome."

    Fantasy Analysis
LeCure was 2-1, with a 3.71 ERA in 43 games, including four starts, last season. He realizes he's no longer a starter and is focusing on being a dependable arm in the 'pen. "I'm not looking to get back into the rotation," LeCure said. "I am looking for more opportunities to pitch and instill confidence in them, so when a situation comes up, they don't have any doubt about putting me in there." The move to the bullpen dropped LeCure's Fantasy value dramatically. Being a middle reliever, LeCure holds value in leagues that value true middle men. He should go undrafted in most Fantasy leagues.
