The Rays optioned reliever Alex Torres back to Triple-A Durham Sunday before a game against the the Orioles, the Tampa Bay Times reports. 

Torres threw four scoreless and hitless innings with two walks and three strikeouts against Baltimore Saturday in a 10-6 win. He earned the victory, the second of his major-league career. 

Making his second appearance for the Rays, pitcher Alex Torres threw four no-hit innings of relief Saturday against the Orioles to earn his first win of the season. He struck out three and walked two.

Torres has made seven Triple-A starts this year, striking out 49 in 37 2/3 innings with a 2.39 ERA and 1.06 WHIP.

Rays manager Joe Maddon told reporters Thursday he's undecided about who will start Monday's game at Toronto in place of the injured David Price (triceps), according to the Tampa Bay Times. Maddon said Jake Odorizzi, Chris Archer, Alex Torres and Alex Colome are under consideration.

Odorizzi is the favorite to be recalled among Rays' beat writers. Archer started Thursday for Triple-A Durham, so he would be pitching on short rest if recalled. Torres was promoted to the majors Thursday and could be used in long relief. Colome last started for Durham Monday.

The Rays recalled reliever Alex Torres from Triple-A Durham Thursday to take the roster spot of David Price, who was placed on the disabled list with a left triceps strain. Torres was 2-2 with a 2.39 ERA and .190 opponents' batting average in seven starts for Durham.

The Rays have not named a replacement for Price in the rotation.
