| Bianchi tearing it up in minors : Brewers shortstop Jeff Bianchi is batting .333 with a double, a home run and five RBI in his 10 games with Triple-A Nashville. Bianchi, who was a waiver-wire addition from the Cubs during the offseason, continues to play well. "Very happy," assistant general manager Gord Ash told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Wednesday. "He's a very steady player, a very instinctive player. He's hit probably better than we anticipated. I know the concern in the spring was he didn't show a plus-arm, but the games I saw him play in, he shows it to you when he needs to. If he can make a lesser throw and still get the guy out, that's what he chooses to do. But if he has to make a tough throw, he can." (Updated 05/16/2012) |

| Bianchi gives the Brewers depth at shortstop and with Alex Gonzalez injured, Bianchi could get called up at some point. For now though, he remains a player to leave on waivers. Owners in deeper NL-only leagues can scout Bianchi on the chance he does make it to the majors. (Updated 05/16/2012). |
