Thornton likely in line to close: Matt Thornton is likely to get the White Sox save chances with Bobby Jenks (calf) done for the season. Octavio Dotel and Scott Linebrink, former top setup men and part-time closers, are candidates, too, but they haven't been pitching as well as Thornton.

Fantasy Analysis

Dotel and Linebrink mopped up in Tuesday's night's loss, a pretty clear signal they are not top options to close right now. Consider them middle relievers for the final Fantasy Week 26 (Sept. 28-Oct. 4). Thornton is a nice sleeper in deeper formats, mostly AL-only, if you are desperate for a few save chances. The White Sox are not winning games right now, so it could be hard for them to get save opportunities to Thornton -- especially with one less setup man at their disposal.
