| Melhuse has a career batting average of .234 over parts of eight seasons with the Dodgers, Rockies, A's and Rangers. He's hit 24 career homers and 98 career RBI. His best seasons was arguably 2004 with the A's when he hit .257 over a career-high 214 at bats with 11 homers and 31 RBI. Melhuse is nothing but organizational depth for Pittsburgh with Ryan Doumit hurt. He doesn't figure to play much in the majors, if at all, and should not be owned in Fantasy. (Updated 05/10/2009). |
