| Ruffin officially a Mariner: RP Chance Ruffin was officially named as the player to be named later in the trade that sent SP Doug Fister and RP David Pauley to the Tigers. In addition to Ruffin, Seattle received SP Charlie Furbush, OF Casper Wells and minor league 3B Francisco Martinez. Ruffin will join the Mariners' bullpen for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, and in a corresponding move, RP Aaron Laffey was designated for assignment. (Updated 08/17/2011) |
