| Nishioka lands on DL in minors: Twins shortstop Tsuyoshi Nishioka was placed on the seven-day disabled list at Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday due to a sprained right ankle. He is batting .203 with three RBI and three stolen bases through 16 games with the Red Wings. "Nishi has a high ankle sprain, but I'm not sure how many days [he'll be out]," manager Ron Gardenhire told MLB.com. "So right now, [Brian] Dozier is the main guy in the infield. We'll let him get more at-bats." (Updated 04/24/2012) |

| Nishioka batted just .226 with 19 RBI and two stolen bases in 68 games for the Twins a year ago and could not win a spot on the roster this spring.
