Lutz homered off the foul pole in the second inning, a three-run shot to open the scoring. It was also his first career extra-base hit. Lutz is hitting .316/.316/.474 in 19 at-bats. With Chris Heisey coming back to Cincinnati next week, his time in the majors could be limited, but he's nade a good impression.
With Chris Heisey on the disabled list,
"He's aggressive," manager Dusty Baker told MLB.com. "He runs a whole lot better than it appears he should run for the size of his body. He's going to be a good one. It's just a matter of him going to play."
Lutz is hitting .313 with two RBI over 16 at-bats but is expected to be sent back down to Double-A Pensacola once Heisey returns.
