| Rosin adjusting to new role: According to the San Jose Mercury News, Giants pitching prospect Seth Rosin enters the spring adjusting to his role as a reliever. He started last season as a starter, but the Giants have decided to try him out in the 'pen. “They want to see guys in different roles at those levels,” he said. “Something really clicked with me in the bullpen, where I was able to use everything I had in short stints. It worked well.” Rosin added that he's been working on his slider to add to his stable of fastball and change-up. “It’s come a long way since college,” he said of the slider. “The Giants really work on sliders and I’m feeling more confident with it.” (Updated 02/23/2012) |

| Rosin, a fourth-round draft pick in 2010 out of Minnesota, will likely start the year in Class A for the Giants. “I’m still trying to get my feet wet and learn how to deal with the wind and dry air down here,” he said.
