The Orioles signed Yoon to a three-year, $5.575-million deal last February, and the pitcher went 4-8 with a 5.74 ERA in 95 2/3 innings with Triple-A Norfolk. Yoon was taken off the 40-man roster in August and did not receive an invite to major-league camp this spring.

Yoon, who is in his first year in American professional baseball, had already been on the DL with a right shoulder issue. He made one start, allowing two hits in 3 1/3 shutout innings Saturday night, before going back on the DL.
The Korean import has otherwise struggled on the mound with a 3-7 record, 5.51 ERA and 97 hits allowed in 78 1/3 innings.
Yoon has been sidelined since late June with a shoulder impingement, but had been targeting Saturday as his return date over the last few weeks. Yoon has a 5.76 ERA in 75 innings at Norfolk, in his first season pitching out side of the Korean Baseball Organization.
