| Blake retires from baseball: The Des Moines Register reports Tuesday that free agent infielder Casey Blake has decided to retire from baseball. Blake was released by Colorado at the end of spring training. "My career has to end at some point," the 38-year-old said. "If I was going to play, it would probably only be one more year anyway. I just decided to shut it down. And I’m OK with the decision." (Updated 05/08/2012) |
