| Stark accepts Triple-A assignment: The Sports Xchange reports that Mariners SP Denny Stark, who had been designated for assignment on Sunday by Seattle, cleared waivers and accepted the Mariners' outright assignment to Triple-A Tacoma. Stark, pitching in the big leagues for the first time since 2004, appeared in nine games for Seattle. He had 1.80 ERA in eight of them, but that was offset by the other performance, one inning with six runs allowed, pushing his ERA to 3.97. (Updated 06/12/2009) |
