Jose Molina may remain out until Friday

Rays manager Joe Maddon updated the status of catcher Jose Molina Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Maddon said that Molina was feeling better, but his left hamstring may keep him out until Friday. 

Molina has missed the last two games with his hamstring injury and has been replaced by Jose Lobaton behind the plate. Molina is hitting .221/.265/.325 in 77 at-bats.

Jose Molina misses another start

Rays catcher Jose Molina was held out of the starting lineup Monday against the Blue Jays for a second-straight game because of a hamstring injury. Jose Lobaton started for Tampa Bay.

After opening May in a 0-for-17 slump, Molina is batting .750 (6 for 8) with two RBI and three doubles in his last four games.

The Rays were without catcher Jose Molina Sunday against the Orioles. Molina is day-to-day with a hamstring injury. 

Molina was injured after a base hit Saturday in Baltimore. Jose Lobaton replaced him and got the start Sunday. 

Molina, 37, is batting .221 with a home run and six RBI over 77 at-bats.
