Giants' Johnny Cueto: Solid in 11th win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cueto (11-1) held the Pirates to one run on four hits before exiting with a 10-1 lead after 6.2 innings, racking up six strikeouts with only one walk.

Cueto didn't have to work very hard to earn win No. 11, as the Giants offense handed him plenty of run support against the spot-starting Wilfredo Boscan. His first season in San Francisco might end up being the 30-year-old's best, as he sports a career-low 2.06 ERA, and is on pace to exceed his previous career high of 20 wins set in 2014. Sunday's start against the Phillies offers a tremendous opportunities to improve those numbers even further.

Giants' Johnny Cueto: Wins 10th game of 2016
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cueto (10-1) allowed just one run on seven hits while walking one and striking out nine in Wednesday's win against the Brewers.

Cueto became the NL's third 10-game winner while extending his winning streak to seven straight decisions. He lowered his ERA to 2.10 - the best it has been since making his season debut against the Brewers on April 5. The average velocity on his fastball is down to below 92 mph for the first time in his career, but the 30-year-old has shown some veteran savviness by relying on the pitch's location rather than its speed. His walk rate is at a career low and Cueto is inducing groundballs at a career-high rate. After a one-year hiatus, Cueto is one of the best pitchers in MLB on again.

Giants' Johnny Cueto: Pitches well, but ends up with no-decision Friday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cueto threw eight innings of two-run ball against the Dodgers on Friday but ended up with a no-decision in the 3-2 loss. He only allowed three hits and did not walk a batter while striking out eight.

After a two-run first inning, Cueto settled down and retired 21 of the next 23 Dodger batters. He was going blow-for-blow with Clayton Kershaw until the Giants' closer, Santiago Casilla, surrendered the lead in the ninth. Even though he didn't get the win, Cueto strengthened his bid to be in the Cy Young conversation by lowering his ERA to 2.16 to compliment his 9-1 record.

Giants' Johnny Cueto: Wins ninth game of season Friday
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Cueto (9-1) went six innings against St. Louis on Friday, and he allowed only one run on four hits and five walks. He struck out only one.

Cueto delivered his sixth straight quality start, but he struggled with his control as only 60 of his 105 offerings went for strikes. Back discomfort might have played a role in Friday's performance, but he still led the Giants to the win. Cueto will look to keep it going in his next start against the Dodgers on Friday, as he'll get extra rest with two off-days on the schedule for the upcoming week.

Giants' Johnny Cueto: Confirmed as Friday's starter
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cueto has been confirmed as Friday's starter against the Cardinals.

Some side/back discomfort led to a bit of uncertainty regarding Cueto's status for Friday, but it seems he convinced the training staff of his health. There has been nothing to suggest Cueto will be limited in any way against St. Louis as he looks to turn in his sixth straight quality start.
