Mets' Jose Reyes: Provides big hits in 11-inning win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Reyes went 2-for-5 with a homer, a walk, two RBI and three runs in Thursday's 11-inning victory over the Phillies.

With the Mets trailing 6-4, it was Reyes who stepped up and hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth; two innings later, with the Mets again down by two runs, Reyes' single brought Asdrubal Cabrera to the plate with two on and a chance to win the game -- which he did, socking a walkoff homer. Reyes hasn't been his old electric self on the bases, as he uncharacteristically has almost as many homers (eight) as steals (nine), but he's still provided a jolt to the Mets' offense, scoring bunches of runs out of the leadoff spot.

Mets' Jose Reyes: Not starting Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Reyes is out of the lineup Sunday against the Twins, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Reyes' absence from Sunday's lineup is said to be a routine day off, so he'll likely be back Monday against the Braves. With Reyes sitting, Kelly Johnson will start at third base and hit fifth.

Mets' Jose Reyes: Not in Sunday's lineup
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Reyes is not in the lineup Sunday against the Twins, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

It's simply a routine day off for Reyes, who will be joined on the bench by fellow regulars Astrubal Cabrera and Curtis Granderson. The Mets will go with Kelly Johnson at third base, but expect Reyes to return to the lineup for Monday's series opener against Atlanta.
