Mets' Jose Reyes: Stays hot with ninth homer
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Reyes went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base during Saturday's win over Colorado.

The veteran is sporting an 18-for-44 stretch with a 1.198 OPS, three homers, seven RBI, a stolen base and nine runs through his past 12 games. Reyes is making up for a dreadful start with a .333/.375/.667 slash line dating back to June 16, so a strong second half isn't out of the question.

Mets' Jose Reyes: Three hits in Friday's win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Reyes went 3-for-5 with a double, three runs scored and an RBI in Friday's win over the Rockies.

He's now got six multi-hit performances in his last 11 games, posting a .400/.419/.725 slash line over that stretch with two homers, six RBI and eight runs. With Amed Rosario champing at the bit for a promotion to the big leagues, Reyes' current form can only improve his value in the trade market as the Mets look to clear spots for their top prospects.

Mets' Jose Reyes: Hits leadoff homer Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Reyes led off Tuesday's game in Washington with a home run, but he went hitless in his four subsequent at-bats.

That leaves his batting average lingering at .209, and Reyes' power-speed combo (seven homers, 10 steals) isn't doing enough to make up for that. However, he didn't make any of Tuesday's outs via strikeout, leaving him with just 40 whiffs in 310 plate appearances -- not the stuff of a Mendoza Line hitter. It's hard to expect a big second-half outburst from the 34-year-old Reyes, but he's certainly due for an improvement in batted-ball luck.

Mets' Jose Reyes: Assumes leadoff duties Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Reyes will start at shortstop and man the leadoff spot Monday against the Nationals.

With Curtis Granderson (hip) unavailable, the Mets will go with their third leadoff option in as many days in Reyes. The veteran shortstop is barely hitting over .200 on the season, but he's turned things around since mid-June, contributing five multi-hit efforts in his last 16 starts. Look for him to drop back to a bottom-third spot in the order once Granderson is cleared to return.

Mets' Jose Reyes: Pulls north of Mendoza Line
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Reyes went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run against the Marlins on Wednesday, lifting his batting average to .202.

Reyes is finally back over the Mendoza Line for the first time since May 29. Incredibly, his average hasn't been higher than .208 at any point this season, and he hasn't been particularly hot lately, so it's hard to generate much optimism off this performance. That said, Reyes has contributed a bit of pop and a bit of speed, and some corrective BABIP luck could see him return to the realm of fantasy respectability, at least in deeper leagues.
