| Morneau cuts back work in batting practice : Twins first basemen Justin Morneau said he was been reducing the number of swings he has been taking in batting practice, reports MLB.com. Morneau said he is only taking 10-20 less swings, but the cutback has allowed him to rest his sore left wrist more over the last few days. "Hopefully it's something that will help the soreness and the rest of that stuff," Morneau said. "Right now, I feel pretty good." (Updated 05/25/2012) |

| Morneau's new pre-game approach seems to be working as is hitting .290 with four home runs and 12 RBI since being activated off the 15-day disabled list. However, the 31-year-old added it has been tough for him to cut back on his work in batting practice. "There's times when you feel like you need to put in a lot of extra work to get where you need to be, and I'm just going to have to avoid that," he said. "So it's one of those things where it's a fine line of working hard and not trying to do too much." Hopefully, Morneau can stay continue to stay healthy and produce the way he has been over the past few weeks. Fantasy owners should consider getting him active while he appears to have re-discovered his stroke. (Updated 05/25/2012). |
