| Bochy: Freddy's a ways away: According to the San Jose Mercury News, Giants second baseman Freddy Sanchez had an epidural shot on Wednesday and can't do anything baseball related for a few days. An MRI on his shoulder showed inflammation. “He’s a ways away, to be honest,” manager Bruce Bochy said. “I really don’t think about him a lot until he gets close. Nothing against Freddy, but I’ve got 25 guys here.” (Updated 05/16/2012) |

| Sanchez has not played in more than 111 games since 2008 and it seems unlikely that will change in 2012. Sanchez hits for a nice average, but at this stage of his career he's too injury prone to have much Fantasy value. Only owners in NL-only formats should stash Sanchez in hopes he returns before the All-Star break. (Updated 05/16/2012). |
