| Seay undergoes shoulder surgery: Detroit RP Bobby Seay underwent successful surgery on his left shoulder on Friday, according to MLB.com. He's been sidelined since spring training when it was discovered he had a partial tear of his left labrum. The projected recovery timetable for Seay to start a throwing program is in four months, with hopes of returning sometime in 2011. The original recovery time was expected to be at least a year. He attempted rehab and got multiple opinions before having surgery, but could not throw pain-free sessions. (Updated 09/17/2010) |

| In 2009 Seay went 6-3 with a 4.25 ERA in 65 appearances for the Tigers. Despite a better recovery timetable, Fantasy owners should continue to ignore Seay in all formats. There is no guarantee he'll return in time to pitch in 2011, let alone speculate on how he may perform. He's best left off everyone's radar until he returns to spring training.
