| Cabrera sent to minors camp: Pittsburgh reassigned four players to minor league camp on Wednesday morning, reports the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. The following players were sent out of major league spring camp: Pitchers Daniel Cabrera and Tim Wood, first baseman Jeff Clement and outfielder Brandon Boggs. | Cabrera has always been a failed experiment in the majors. A behemoth on the mound, Cabrera has never been able to harness his control long enough to use that stellar arm. He has gone 48-65 with a 5.10 ERA over six seasons in the majors with the Orioles, Nationals and Diamondbacks. Cabrera has almost zero Fantasy value entering the 2012 season. (Updated 03/21/2012). |
