Blue Jays' Edwin Encarnacion: On base three times in Friday blowout
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Encarnacion went 1-for-3 with an RBI walk, another base-on-balls and two runs in Friday's 9-0 victory over the Yankees.

The menacing slugger was pitched around in the second with the based jammed, which resulted in Kevin Pillar coming home on the bases-loaded walk. Encarnacion has now hit safely in seven of his last eight games, with three homers and eight RBI over that span.

Blue Jays' Edwin Encarnacion: Ties career high in homers
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Encarnacion homered -- his 42nd of the season -- and drove in three in a 2-for-5 game Tuesday against the Mariners.

With the blast, Encarnacion tied a career high I n home runs, previously set in 2012. He also maintained his RBI lead over David Ortiz, 123-121. Encarnacion is now just one RBI behind Coloardo's Nolan Arenado for the major league lead. The Blue Jays lineup is set up to feed Encarnacion with baserunners in Devon Travis (.338 OBP) and Josh Donaldson (.401 OBP) hitting in front of him, and he's as good a bet as any to finish the season as the league's RBI leader.

Blue Jays' Edwin Encarnacion: Homers in win over Mariners
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Encarnacion homered and knocked in a pair in a 2-for-5 game Monday against the Mariners.

The blast was Encarnacion's 41st, putting him just one away from tying his career high from 2012. He also pushed his OPS up to .897 with Monday's performance. If he can stay hot and keep that OPS trending upwards, he'll be able to finish the season with his fifth straight OPS of .900 or better.

Blue Jays' Edwin Encarnacion: Slugs 40th homer
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Encarnacion went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in a 5-0 win over the Angels on Friday.

Encarnacion's 40th home run of the year gave Toronto some insurance in the ninth, extending the team's lead to five runs. He still trails Brian Dozier and Mark Trumbo in home runs, but his 118 RBI are tops in the American League. The 33-year-old has already established a new career high in RBI and is just two home runs away from matching his previous best, which he achieved in 2012.

Blue Jays' Edwin Encarnacion: Homers twice in Sunday's loss
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Encarnacion went 3-for-4 with a walk, two homers, three runs scored and three RBI in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.

He now has 39 homers on the season, just three shy of his 2012 career high, and Encarnacion continues to pad his new personal best in RBI with 115 and counting. Expect him to come up big over the final weeks as the Jays push for a playoff spot.
