Fantasy Analysis

Lowry is a reclamation project and nothing more than a spring training invitee at this point. He might never be a viable starter again after multiple surgeries. Miller is nothing more than a middle reliever for the deepest of leagues that use true middle men and can be ignored.

Lowry remains sidelined after a variety of surgeries, the latest of which removed the first rib on his left side due to symptoms from a circulatory problem known as thoracic outlet syndrome. (Updated 11/05/2009)

Advice

Lowry went 14-8 with a 3.92 ERA in 2007, but missed all last season after undergoing forearm surgery. He's also been bothered by shoulder problems. His long-awaited return to baseball is still uncertain.
