Sweeney off DL; Denorfia sent down: The A's activated OF Ryan Sweeney from the 15-day disabled list before Thursday's game at the Dodgers and optioned OF Chris Denorfia to Triple-A Sacramento. Sweeney had been sidelined since June 3 because of a sprained left knee. He entered the game as a pinch hitter and went 0 for 1.

Fantasy Analysis

Sweeney will likely regain his starting job in the Athletics outfield once the team returns to an AL park, if not sooner. He's not much of a Fantasy option, though, since he doesn't offer much power or speed. Denorfia is a minor-league journeyman who consistently hits over .300 in the minors but likely won't ever become a big-league regular. Ignore him in all Fantasy leagues.
