| Twins trade for Reed: The Star Tribune reports that the Twins acquired OF Jeremy Reed from the Brewers on Thursday in exchange for future considerations. Reed is expected to be assigned to Triple-A Rochester. He had been playing for Triple-A Nashville, where he was batting .233 with six RBI and four stolen bases in 36 games. (Updated 06/02/2011) |

| Reed is expected to provide outfield depth for the Twins, who had to place Jason Kubel on the 15-day DL Thursday. He could earn a promotion to the majors if he plays well, or if Minnesota sustains another injury, so Fantasy owners should keep an eye on his progress early on. But since he has played in just 21 games in the bigs over the last two seasons, continue to ignore Reed in all Fantasy formats at this point. (Updated 06/02/2011). |
