| OF Reese designated for assign.: The Yankees recalled Jose Veras (bone chips, right elbow) from his rehab assignment and the 60-day DL and sent him to the minor leagues. Triple-A outfielder Kevin Reese was designated for assignment Wednesday. They have 10 days to trade, release or outright him to the minor leagues. (Updated 08/15/2007) |
