Jackson pitches to no decision: Detroit SP Edwin Jackson pitched to a no decision on Saturday against the Twins and Francisco Liriano. Jackson struck out nine Twins on the 4th of July but gave up three runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings and left with the score all knotted up after throwing 122 pitches. He walked four and gave up two long balls. His ERA is at 2.59 on the year.

Fantasy Analysis

Jackson still has a very nice ERA that remains under 3.00 but has failed to win a game since pitching a complete contest in a win over the Angels back on June 6. He is 0-1 in his last five starts, thought he hasn’t given up more than three runs in any of them. He continues to put up solid strikeout numbers and hopefully the wins start flowing again soon. Continue to use him as a decent mixed-league Fantasy starter. He’ll make his next appearance on Friday against Carl Pavano and Cleveland. We give him a good chance at picking up the win in that one.
