Orioles OF Adam Jones connects for two home runs
by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer

Adam Jones had a big day at the plate for the Orioles on Sunday, providing the team's only source of offense in a 3-2 loss.

Jones took his fellow All-Star Max Scherzer over the fence at Camden Yards twice, once in the first inning and again in the ninth, chasing Scherzer from the game as he attemped to pitch a complete game.

Jones now has 14 homers on the season to go along with 43 RBIs and a .281 average. Jones now has three career homers off Scherzer and is hitting above .500 against one of the game's best pitchers.

Orioles CF Adam Jones is OK after hard tag to face Saturday
by Ruben Palacios | Staff Writer

Orioles center fielder Adam Jones says he is fine after taking a hard tag to the face while running to first base during the fifth inning of Saturday's game against the Nationals, per The Baltimore Sun.

Jones said he was "all right," though he added that he would "cry later" because of the tag.

Orioles fans gasped when Jones fell to the ground because he has nursed an ailing shoulder as of late and at first glance it looked as if he could have aggravated that injury.

"It was more of a tag in the face and jaw," Showalter said. "Not a fun trip out there with any of your players. Adam doesn't lay on the ground very long unless something's bothering him. He's not one of those guys that enjoys ill health."
