League blows rare save opportunity: Leading 4-3 to begin the ninth inning Monday against the Indians, the Blue Jays handed the ball to right-hander Brandon League because closer Scott Downs had pitched in three straight games. League proceeded to blow the save, allowing three runs on five hits in two innings.

League won't get many more save opportunities, and after Monday's disaster, he might not get any more. Downs remains the guy to own in Toronto right now, though B.J. Ryan (shoulder) is set to begin a rehab assignment soon. League is at best a low-end middle reliever for deeper AL-only leagues.
