| Cold wave slows Schierholtz: After a torrid stretch during the middle of April, San Francisco outfielder Nate Schierholtz has seemed to level off again. Schierholtz was held out of the starting lineup twice during the Giants' three-game series against San Diego over the past weekend and finished 1 for 5 with a run scored. He served as a pinch hitter in two of those outings as his batting average dropped to .283 on the season. (Updated 04/30/2012) |

| Schierholtz's standing as one of the most frustrating Fantasy players continued as he has registered just one hit -- a single -- in his past 17 at-bats. He showed that he can be a productive player when he notched six hits, including two triples and a home run, during a doubleheader sweep against the Mets last Monday. But his significant ups and downs on offense keep him just an NL-only Fantasy option for now. (Updated 04/30/2012). |
