Francis working his way back: From the The Sports Xchange: LHP Jeff Francis, who is out for the season following arthroscopic shoulder surgery Feb. 25, was around his teammates for the first time following his operation when the Rockies began their home season April 10. "It's really strange being around the guys right now," Francis said. "During March it wasn't so bad, even when I watched the guys on TV during spring training. It was more distant. Now that they're up here, it's going to be a little strange." Six weeks removed from surgery, Francis is doing range-of-motion exercises and progressing as expected. "They found a tear in the (labrum) that didn't show up on the MRI, but they repaired it and the doctors think everything else looks very good."
