Mariners' Nelson Cruz: Powers Seattle to victory
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cruz went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run during Thursday's win over Washington.

Now up to 12 homers, 40 RBI, 20 runs and a .296/.379/.568 slash line, Cruz is well on his way to another high-end fantasy campaign. While Thursday's bomb was against righty Jacob Turner and not lefty Gio Gonzlaez, it's still worth highlighting that the slugger entered Thursday's game with a .438 wOBA against southpaws dating back to the 2015 campaign. Cruz's dominance against left-handed pitchers shouldn't be overlooked in daily contests.

Mariners' Nelson Cruz: Cedes Wednesday's start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cruz is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Nationals, Bob Dutton of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Cruz is batting just .167 over his past seven games played, and with the Mariners playing in a National League park, he'll head to the bench for a night off. Ben Gamel will take over in right field for the evening, but look for Cruz to return to action Thursday given that manager Scott Servais wants him to play two out of the three games in Washington.

Mariners' Nelson Cruz: Likely to play defense in interleague series
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cruz will likely start in right field in the upcoming series against the Nationals and manager Scott Servais hopes to play him in two out of the series' three games, Todd Milles of The News Tribune reports.

With the three-game set unfolding in a National League park, the Mariners can work their red-hot slugger into the lineup by having him take the field for the first time in 2017. Cruz has smacked four homers in his last 11 games and racked up 14 RBI thus far in May.

Mariners' Nelson Cruz: Continues to mash baseballs
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cruz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the White Sox.

Cruz's power display was all the offense Seattle could muster against Derek Holland and the ChiSox Sunday. The 36-year-old slugger hasn't let age slow him down at all in 2017, and he's been one of the most valuable fantasy bats in the league so far this season. He now has 11 home runs, 37 RBI and a slash line of .301/.383/.564 in 183 plate appearances. Keep riding the veteran and enjoy it.

Mariners' Nelson Cruz: Blasts 10th home run
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cruz went 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk in Tuesday's game against Oakland.

Cruz's first-inning solo blast accounted for the only run scored off A's starter Andrew Triggs. Now in his 13th MLB season, the 36-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down. Cruz ranks in the AL's top-10 in batting average (.326), homers (10), RBI (34) and OPS (1.016).
