Mariners' Robinson Cano: Totals three hits Monday to help sagging average
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Cano had three hits Monday, pushing his average to .294 as he looks to get back to .300 after his average slipped in the second half.

Cano has impressed with his power this season (four-year high 28 HR), but entering Monday's game he was hitting .228 with a .284 OBP in the second half. His average fell from a pre-break .313 to .290. That's the only area he's not been lights out this year -- he's on pace for career highs in runs and home runs while trending toward 100 RBI for the fourth time in his career.

Mariners' Robinson Cano: Hits 28th home run of season in win
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Cano hit a two-run homer for his 28th home run of the season in a 7-6 win over the Brewers on Friday.

It was Cano's second home run in as many days and matched his third-highest career total, five shy of the career high he reached in 2012. He is batting .293/.349/.525 with a 136 wRC+, which is third in baseball among second basemen. His 28 homers are tied for first.

Mariners' Robinson Cano: Scores twice in marathon affair Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Cano went 3-for-6 with a double and two runs in Tuesday's extra-inning win over the Tigers.

Cano continues to have his most productive season as a member of the Mariners, thanks in large part to a .222 isolated power that trails only his 2011 and 2012 marks with the Yankees. His ability to generate extra-base hits continues to make the slugging second baseman a major threat in every at-bat as Seattle's three-hole hitter.

Mariners' Robinson Cano: Returns to lineup
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cano is back in the lineup for Monday's game against Detroit, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Cano will be starting at second and hitting third after having a maintenance day Sunday. He'll face the right-handed Michael Fulmer in Monday night's outing.

Mariners' Robinson Cano: Gets day off
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cano is out of the lineup Sunday against the Angels.

Mariners manager Scott Servais is likely just granting Cano a day off, with the second baseman having started each of the Mariners' games since the All-Star break. Mike Freeman, who was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma earlier in the day, will replace Cano at the keystone.
