| Brewers add Fields: Milwaukee claimed 3B Josh Fields off waivers from Colorado on Wednesday, according to MLB.com. Fields, 28, was batting .391 with seven homers and 33 RBI for the Rockies' Triple-A affiliate before the release. He was acquired from Pittsburgh during spring training. (Updated 05/25/2011) |

Milwaukee transferred RP Takashi Saito to the 60-day disabled list to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Fields, who is expected to serve off the bench.
