| The Royals already have Alcides Escobar as their starting shortstop, so Betancourt will now move into a part-time role. Even as a starter, Betancourt had minimal value for mixed league owners, but now he can be ignored in those formats. As a bench player, owners in AL-only leagues should only consider Betancourt as a last resort. (Updated 12/20/2011). |
